The key to excellent and effective care is professionals who are constantly working to improve their knowledge. That's why our NIPT team (Non-Invasive Prenatal Testing Team - pictured) travelled to Olomouc at the beginning of March for the 6th European Congress on Free DNA (cfDNA), which aimed to deepen experts' knowledge of cfDNA and its rapidly developing medical applications. In addition to gaining new knowledge, the GNTlabs team left an active footprint at the congress.

On Thursday, 1 June, we ceremonially cut the ribbon of the new GNTlabs by GENNET genetic laboratories.
The vision of the laboratories was presented in introductory speeches by GENNET CEO, Michal Fazekaš, together with the Head Physician of the Genetics Programme, Monika Koudová. FutureLife CEO, Francisco Lobbosco, and Managing Partner, Hartenberg Holding Jozef Janov, also wished the laboratories good luck.
Symbolically, they not only opened the door for the laboratories to cooperate with clinics in the FutureLife group but also to realize the ambitions of GNTlabs to cooperate with healthcare providers from all over the world. With its capacity and equipment, GNTlabs is one of the largest and most modern genetic laboratories in Europe. This will make it possible to meet the demand for genetic services much faster and more efficiently, as well as to step up the level of care.

We are very proud – the head physician of our genetics programme, Monika Koudová, M.D., MBA and geneticist, Alena Puchmajerová, M.D., are co-authors of the book Hereditary Cancers in Clinical Practice, which was published last year. The novel approach and illustrative connection of the impact of genetics on real clinical practice across medical fields brought the book a significant award from the J. E. Purkyne Czech Medical Chamber – it won third place in the Book of the Year category! Congratulations to the whole team of authors. Messages from medical university students around the country suggest that the book will become a bestseller (not only) among young students.
