Quick test description:
Cascade aneuploidy testing of aborted foetal tissue using QF-PCR, arrays or karyotyping; excluding maternal contamination.
Test details:
During the cascade testing of the product of conception, the sample is firstly examined by QF-PCR to exclude maternal contamination and to quickly determine chromosome aneuploidy. Three sets of STR markers are used consecutively: the standard set for chromosome aneuploidy 13, 18, 21, X and Y, and the SAB-superstructure sets I and II for testing chromosomes 2, 4, 6, 7, 14, 15, 16 and 22. In the case of a normal QF-PCR result, the sample is examined by SNP array for genome-wide detection of submicroscopic chromosomal aberrations.
